What We're Eating

A look at our local favorites

There is one thing that brings the JH family together, food. Well ... drinks usually don't hurt either. But today's focus is on the food! Seven team members share their favorite eats in Fort Wayne.

Jason - Salsa Grille

Recently our family has been cooking more at home. The shut down had some benefits, and additional time around the dinner table has been one. My two daughters love to cook as well, so we’ve been trying new recipes and living on some delicious leftovers for the last few months. If we do opt for take-out, Mexican cuisine is a family favorite (my kids could eat Taco Bell everyday if we let them) and our favorite is Salsa Grille. Quesadillas, burrito bowls, and the queso seem to make their way into every order. Local, Fresh, Tasty. Hard to beat from my family’s perspective.

Jamie - Greek's Pizza

The Greek’s special pizza is a supreme that is really, really good. This pizza is new to Fort Wayne so if you live on the north side I would highly recommend. Little bit more expensive, but well worth it. Their sauce is outstanding!!

Tim D - Buffalo Wings & Ribs

My go-to meal, any time of day, is the 16-piece wings with suicide garlic sauce from Buffalo Wings & Ribs. I'm embarrassed to admit how many times a week I eat these. Why is this my favorite? Because wings. The best wings. Hands down, no contest.

Jim - Zianos

My favorite meal from Zianos is Chicken Pesto with spinach, tomato, broccoli, Alfredo sauce; make sure to add mushrooms! Of course you have to get the house salad and the $0.99 breadsticks are to die for. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Brad - Ziffles

Ziffles is located near my house so I'm a frequent visitor. My go-to is a pepperoni and green pepper pizza. I also like to throw in an order of garlic cheese bread because you can never have enough cheese!

JJ - El Azteca

Start off with the fideo soup (beef broth with angel hair pasta) and a cold Sol beer to go with your chips and salsa. The chicken enchilada is my personal favorite. Oh and don't forget dessert (I never do!), fried ice cream.

Val - Aroma Pizza

Aroma was around when I was growing up, but closed down. They have come back (just down the street from my house) and it is just as amazing as I remember! I get to introduce my childhood favorites, like their pizza and sausage rolls, to my kids.

We hope you've found something new to try this weekend. Happy eating!
