Once again, JH Specialty is proud to be named one of Counselor Magazine's “Best Places to Work” in the promotional industry for the 11th year in a row.

This year, JH Specialty ranks 21st out of the 40 U.S. companies earning honors. Each year, thousands of promo marketing agencies compete to be ranked. Due to high employee participation in the annual survey, JH has spent over a decade in the top 40.

A great work environment starts with the people who come to work with you. To ensure we have the right people on our team, JH seeks out individuals who are self-motivated and continuous-learners. “Our philosophy doesn’t change with labor market conditions,” says Jason Knothe, COO. He says the company takes its time during the interview process to make sure each candidate really fits with the company’s needs and culture. Any small company needs team members to be jacks of multiple trades, and we are lucky enough to also have individuals who are masters of many as well.

A favorite perk of employees outside of all the benefits (health/life/disability insurance, 401(k), PTO, etc) is the flexible scheduling. Employees need not worry about scheduling appointments around work or missing a child's basketball game due to work. “We’re focused on relationship building and living by the Golden Rule — treat others how you want to be treated. We strive to create positive influences throughout the day. This is the standard of how we treat our customers, team members, and the entire community," says John Henry III, CEO.

One thing most people notice about JH is the company culture. Offices are decorated with legos, inflatable sharks, and nerf guns. We're a busy group, but all work and no play makes a workplace dull. Over the last 20 years, we have put together a tightknit group of hardworking people. We're proud that our employees can call one of Counselor Magazine's "Best Places to Work" home. And we'll probably throw a party about it.
